本片为经典惊悚电影，叙述地质小队来到亚马逊丛林里，科学家发现海洋与陆地交接间有种恐怖生物，长个骷髅手和蛛网指。他们接着又发现半人半鱼的生物，试图要捕捉牠，不久这可怕生物就要反扑。A scientific expedition searching for fossils along the Amazon River discovers a prehistoric Gill-Man in the legendary Black Lagoon. The explorers capture the mysterious creature, but it breaks free. The Gill-Man returns to kidnap the lovely Kay, fiancée of one in the expedition, with whom it has fallen in love.
