低能儿（古比）总是梦想着去首都巴黎，并希望自己能睡在埃菲尔铁塔上。同镇的两个送菜人将他灌醉后，真的把他拉到了首都巴黎，古比不但结识了富商德塞迪尼先生，还爱上了拉弗雷尔（妓女），拉弗雷尔也决定不再做妓女，用自己的积蓄到乡下购买农场，与古比生活在一起，最后他们一起回到了古比的家乡...Goubi, the simpleton of his village in the French Department Allier, has but one wish: to see Paris. One day, the truckers Grafouillère deposit a drunk Goubi in the biggest market of Paris (the "Halles").
