个性认真、擅长料理的律师笕史朗，与温柔体贴的美容师矢吹贤二是一对住在市区小公寓的同志情侣。为了两人的养老基金，笕律师每天上超市捡便宜，左扣男友的零用钱、右向老家伸手讨罐头、还要严格控管每个月的餐费，在柴米油盐酱醋茶的平凡日常中，烹调出一道道省钱却营养美味的「爱」的料理。Shiro and Kenji are a gay couple who live together. One is a hairdresser and is openly homosexual. The other is a lawyer and not open about his sexuality at work. When out together one day a customer walks up to them to ask Kenji whether Shiro is his gay lover. Given the direct question and how it is posed in public the couple are embarrassed and feel the awkward nature of the setting.
