宜安与宜强姊弟两人由逐渐失智的老奶奶照顾,他们的母亲早年便离家出走,父亲也鲜少回家.可是这一年年关将近,父亲带了一车鞭炮回家,准备在过年赚上一笔.姊姊帮着卖鞭炮,生意很好,可是当电视播出鞭炮自燃爆炸惨剧后,鞭炮滞销了,宜强点燃鞭炮,让眷村那夜变得绚烂美丽.隔天一早,父亲又不见了...Ann lives with her little brother and grandmother together in a military dependents' village. Her father, Guo, has no stable job and is seldom at home, so Ann has to take care of this family. With Chinese New Year approaching, Guo comes home with lots of fireworks and looks forward to making a big fortune by selling them.
