Visiting the United States in search of glitz and glamour, Englishman Tony Browne instead finds himself in the midst of a double homicide. Tony loves to rub elbows with the glitterati, but the party's over when somebody at an elegant soiree spikes the champagne with poison in this 1983 telefilm based on Agatha Christie's mystery novel.Rosemary Barton, the beautiful wife of a top attorney, dies during their anniversary party at an exclusive restaurant. Later a suicide note is found along with traces of cyanide in her drink, but murder cannot be ruled out.
