人気アニメシリーズ「空の境界」の原作者・奈須きのこ率いる「TYPE-MOON」が原作を務め、ゲームやTVアニメなどさまざまメディアで展開する「Fate/stay night」の劇場版。少年・士郎は街を焼き尽くすほどの大災害で全てを失い、魔術師を名乗る男に引き取られる。それから10年、士郎はふとしたことから「聖杯戦争」と呼ばれる魔術師同士の争いに巻き込まれ、幼い頃に起きた惨劇を繰り返さないために、壮絶な戦いに身を投じることになる。The war for the Holy Grail is on. Master/Servant team pairs made up of Magi and the summoned spirits of legendary warriors do battle to the death in their quest for the right to claim the prize. The winning team claims the Grail and it's power to grant each of them a wish.
