National Transport Security (NBSC) chief Reese Faulkner hands the investigation team for the first time to perfectionist workaholic Al Cummings, but has to supervise his PR incompetence. Aboard were a Nobel Prize winner who received death threats, an FBI-conducted criminal and a mobster who smuggled a victim in trunk. The team also examines possible pilot errors or technical trouble. Meanwhile Al has a conflict with his son Pete, whose drivers license was suspended.
